The Royal Horseguards Hotel
British

The Royal Horseguards Hotel is home to one of London’s most celebrated restaurants, One Twenty One Two. It is named in commemoration of the hotel’s former neighbour Scotland Yard, and its universally famous telephone number, Whitehall 1212.
The menu at One Twenty One Two is inspired by the changing seasons and showcases modern British cuisine, with a European influence. This, paired with an impressive selection of wine and flawless service, has landed the restaurant two AA rosettes.
Seasonal, locally sourced produce is expertly transformed into delicious options on the à la carte. Starters include the likes of pan-roasted quail accompanied by sweetcorn purée, pak choi and radish, and home-smoked duck breast with asparagus Parmesan. From the selection of mains, why not choose something from the grill? There are a number of different beef cuts to choose from, in addition to chicken, sea bass and pork. Each is served with French fries and with Hollandaise, Béarnaise, red wine jus or peppercorn sauce. Alternatively, select the slow roasted belly of pork partnered with mustard mash and sprouting broccoli, or the saffron risotto, served with wild mushrooms and pea truffle sauce.
Complete your meal with one of the mouth-watering desserts. Plump for the lemon vodka parfait accompanied by passion fruit gel and tea sorbet, or instead enjoy the dark chocolate fondant with seasonal English fruits and crème fraîche ice cream.
On Sundays, One Twenty One Two offers an impressive three-course roast dinner, with options including poached halibut and seared scallops, roasted rib of Casterbridge beef and butternut squash, pea and Somerset Brie risotto. A meal is completed by a glass of bubbly on arrival, plus tea, coffee and petit fours – all for just £35 per person.
Boasting exceptional views across the River Thames to the London Eye and beyond, One Twenty One Two offers an experience you’d be hard-pressed to find elsewhere.
