The menu is boundless, containing pastas, pizzas, meats and seafood, and Nino is happy to adapt any dish to your liking. There is a light-lunch menu available, but I went the à la carte route and tried traditional minestrone soup topped with fresh parmesan cheese. My partner opted for Calamari Ripieni - squid stuffed with prawns, cooked in white wine and coated with a mushroom sauce, a winning combination of Mediterranean flavours.

For my main meal I chose veal with lobster and a brandy cream sauce. The meat was cooked to perfection and the sauce rich and smooth. I was pleasantly surprised when a very attractive display of ten Mediterranean and English vegetables arrived as a side order - a little taste of everything. My partner's king pawns were grilled with butter and garlic and beautifully displayed on a Mediterranean salad.

The dessert menu lists all the Italian favourites and has a long list of dessert wines to complete your meal. I chose the artistically arranged exotic fruit salad served with a rich strawberry ice cream in a brandy tulip, and my partner the traditional tiramisu. After just one bite of this huge square of pudding I knew it was expertly done.

Large parties and business lunches are all catered for with the same great quality. Nino's is celebrating over 25 years at this location, so there's no better recommendation.
