It has a homely and inviting atmosphere with a touch of country charm and spectacular views. Warm oranges, wooden beamed ceilings and unique art pieces combine with the enveloping glow from candles and lamp lighting. The beautiful country setting forces you to enjoy and relax the Dew Pond's inviting ambiance. The menu offers an excellent choice that combine well with carefully selected wines. Portions are generous without being overwhelming and dishes are clearly prepared with love which translates to the taste of the food. The three course dinner (£28) provides excellent variety. Our starters (two cheese soufflé with spring onions and crab and oak smoked salmon fishcakes) teasingly tempted the taste buds before the main course. Our main courses (fillet of seabass and chargrilled fillet of scottish beef) were fresh, the beef was tender and the fish melted in the mouth. Desserts followed. The bourbon vanilla crème brûlée with summer berries didn't disappoint and my partner's caramelised lemon tart was divine. The restaurant holds special evenings towards the end of each month, that give guests the opportunity to sample a five-course meal, in combination with fine wines selected to complement each dish. The Dew Pond is the perfect place to enjoy a superbly prepared meal in a charming rurual setting. An absolute find that will see me again.
