Whether enjoying the hotel as a football supporter on a match day, as a hotel guest or simply for a meal in excellent surroundings, you can choose from various eateries here. Le Café is an informal restaurant with an extensive menu (including a special match day buffet) and the Atrium Bar serves a range of beverages and snacks in a pleasant and spacious environment.

Cilantro boasts its own cocktail bar, extensive wine list, à la carte and set 'Gourmand' menu. We decided on the home-cured gravadlax with native oyster and seaweed dressing, followed by roast cannon of lamb with pan-fried sweetbreads and white onion purée for my friend, and Cornish turbot with steamed vegetables and cappuccino sauce for myself (£39.50 for two courses, £45 for three). This was perfectly complemented by our choice of an Australian wine, Riddle Riesling-Gewürztraminer (£17.35). For dessert we both enjoyed the delectable and highly recommended chocolate fondant.

As well as the superb service and meals, I was impressed by the wonderful feeling of calm in Cilantro. Part of the Madejski Stadium Complex, this is an impressive hotel not only for its excellent restaurant but also for its 140 bedrooms and ideal location - it is easily accessible from Junction 11 of the M4.
